Solution to: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can be installed to GPT disks.

I personally have used this troubleshoot. This involves time :

  • First of all, you have to enter your BIOS settings by pressing F2/F10/Delete/Escape button immediately and repeatedly (this depends on your system) after powering on your system.
  • Then find a setting named boot options. Under this you have to enable both legacy and UEFI boot option.
  • Now, if you’re using a pen drive (flash disk) to install the OS, you must be aware of the preference of boot order under which you have to move the USB option to the top of the list by pressing F5/F6 keys.
  • Press F10 to Save and exit > Yes.
  • Now comes the most important step which you won’t find on the internet (believe me). Since the solution of this problem involves formatting of your Hard Drive, your data would be gone forever. YOU MUST BACKUP ALL YOUR IMPORTANT FILES BEFORE PERFORMING THE NEXT PROCEDURES.
  • Start the system and start the installation process.
  • On the screen, which says install now, press SHIFT + F10 or SHIFT + fn +F10 (whichever works).
  • You will see a command prompt window.
  • Now follow this carefully. (beware of case-sensitive commands)
    • Type diskpart. Press Enter.
    • Type list disk. Press Enter.
    • Type select disk 0. Press Enter.
    • Type clean. Press Enter.
    • Type convert GPT. Press Enter.
    • exit.

You will now be able to Install Windows too. You might not be able to make partitions at that time but you can do it later from the disk management once the OS is installed.
