WordCamp Jinja 2023 is the second WordCamp after the first one with practical sessions held at Jinja College last year 2022:
Scheduled to take place on Monday, 4th September to Tuesday, 5th September 2023, at Iganga (Girls) Secondary School, WordCamp Jinja 2023 offers a comprehensive program designed to enable students to build dynamic and static websites for various purposes. Teachers will also have the opportunity to enhance their expertise in website administration and maintenance, unlocking the potential of school websites and e-content in the new curriculum.
The theme of this year’s conference is “There’s always more to learn!” – a reflection of the limitless possibilities and continuous growth that WordPress and web development offer. During the conference, attendees will have the chance to engage in informative sessions, practical workshops, and insightful discussions led by industry professionals. To ensure optimal participation, we recommend that participants bring their own laptops for the practical sessions, although there are computers available in the host school lab.
In addition to the main event, we are excited to announce an optional extra contributor day and do-action hackathon on Wednesday, 6th September 2023, at The Innovation Village in Jinja City. This additional day provides a unique opportunity to further contribute, collaborate, and put newfound skills into action.
