ICT teachers and computer lab attendants are hereby invited to attend the ITAU National Capacity Development Workshop (CDW) and AGM 2022 to be held at Trinity College Nabbingo at the beginning of 1st term school holidays, from Wed 20th – Thur 21st April 2022, with Tue 19th as the reporting date for residents.
This year, the Capacity Development sessions for teachers will address skill and knowledge gaps teachers are facing during this season, especially now that the education system has been changed to emphasize practical skills, projects, clubs, ICT integration, attitudes and values geared towards the overall goal of producing graduates who are competitive in the World of Work (WoW).
Key resource persons and officials are to share tips and resources needed by teachers to guide student projects and prepare learners for DIT occupational assessment as laid out in the new curriculum. We shall also have practical hands-on sessions on setting up computer networks (LANs), website design and publishing. On the sidelines of the CDW, we shall also be conducting the ITAU AGM in which elections will be held to usher in a new executive committee for the association. The workshop fee is UGX 60,000 for commuting participants and UGX 80,000 for resident participants, and this will cater for workshop materials and resources, facilities, meals, and accommodation for residents.
