Kings College Budo ITAU Workshop for Central Region

ICT and Computer Studies teachers and computer lab attendants are hereby invited to attend the Central Region Capacity Development Workshop (rCDW) to be held at Kings College Budo on 12th September 2019.

This is going to be the climax of 4 regional workshops, the recent concluded workshops being the Western rCDW held at Kyebambe Girls School, Fortportal on 6th July 2019, the Northern rCDW held at Dr. Obote College, Boroboro on 13th July 2019, and the Eastern rCDW held at Busoga College Mwiri on 19th July 2019.

All these workshops are a follow-up to the 2019 national capacity development workshop which was held on 6th and 7th May 2019 at Kololo Senior Secondary School, Kampala, with a focus on skilling and tooling the ICT teachers to effectively manage and maintain the school computer laboratories and hands-on in new approaches for curriculum delivery of commonly challenging topics like programming and website design.

The Workshop is going to focus on the weaknesses in Computer Studies and ICT performance as  pointed out by UNEB in its latest report. We shall also have a technical session on attending to computer laboratories effectively and a session on digital pedagogy. An several free resources will be given out to the members who will also be given an highlights and materials from all all the past workshops.

The workshop fee to cater for the arrangements, meals, facilities, facilitation, workshop materials and resources is UGX 30,000 paid in before 6th September 2019.
