Katikamu SDA Secondary School Hosts its First Ever WordPress Meetup

Katikamu SDA Secondary School on Sunday 1st March 2020 hosted its first ever WordPress meetup. The meetup on the theme: An Introduction to WordPress: Build Your First Website was organised as an outreach by the Jinja WordPress meetup which is led by ITAU’s Rogers Mukalele.

The meetup which started at 9:00 am was facilitated by 2 WordPress enthusiasts, Moses Sebunya and Stephen Dumba. The meetup which attracted 10 people include 6 teachers and 3 students was held in the Computer Lab of the grand school.

This particular meetup was the initiative of Mr. Mawunde Daniel Paul, a teacher at Katikamu SDA SS who had earlier attended WordCamp Kampala in December 2019. Having missed day one of that WordCamp, Mr. Mawunde sought the help of Dumba Stephen who was one of the facilitators. It was this engagement that led to this particular outreach.
