Yatesa David – Gone Too Soon!

Life asked death, “Why do people love me but hate you?” death responded, “..because you are a beautiful lie and I am a painful truth!” Today the ICT Teachers fraternity experiences yet another painful truth in the loss of a colleague – Yateesa David. David was pronounced dead (28th March 2020) at Nsambya hospital after battling a brain tumor.

David has been a teacher of ICT at Kiira College, Butiki in the Eastern District of Uganda since his graduation in 2013. An examiner with UNEB and Jinja Joint Examinations Board, David’s career was only beginning. And indeed, his final journey started when he collapsed while invigilating an exam.

David attended St. John Bosco, Kamuli, Budini SS and Busoga High School before graduating with a Bachelors of Science with Education from Busitema University in 2013. David was a proud member of the ICT Teachers’ Association of Uganda.

David is survived by his wife, Gloria. He was a proud father of two. His cheerful attitude will be missed by the staff and students of Kiira College, Butiki and the ICT Teachers Association at large.

David Yateesa will be laid to rest at his ancestral grounds on Tuesday 30th March 2021 in Kamuli (Eastern Uganda), Nabwigulu Sub County, Busuyi Village.

Rest in Peace Comrade!
